These worked perfectly. They came with simple instructions for seasoning prior to use. I made a 50/50 whole wheat/all purpose sourdough with a 2 month old starter I’ve been feeding.The results were great. I made two loaves and both rise perfectly. I steamed the whole bake and never covered the loaves. 1 of 2 came out a bit overdone but that’s more of an oven issue than a pot issue.The loaves came out effortlessly. I had one with a silicone sling just to compare oil vs silicone sling and it made no difference at all. Both just came right out.Love these pans and can’t wait to make my next batch this week.

I use this for baking homemade Sourdough bread. It does a great job. Because the lid knob is metal, it doesn't have to be removed while in the oven. I'm very happy with it.

Very nice pan. I just made brownies, left them in the pan like a cookie jar. Square shape is so versatile. Casseroles etc. will buy one as a house warming gift. Enjoy friends.🥰

This pan is absolutely awesome! Sourdough sandwich bread or sourdough artisan bread comes out great in this!

I'm very happy with this loaf pan.The design is excellent. The two halves fit together perfectly to seal in steam for maximum bread expansion during baking. The two handles have a gap between them which makes handling easy without pinched fingers.Cast iron distributes heat very evenly for a perfectly uniform crust and no underbaked interior areas.Both the interior and exterior of this pan are finished perfectly. The interior is smooth and provides a very easy release. My loaves just drop out. The exterior is a beautiful rich color with enamel that resists scratching.Cleanup is very fast with soap and water. Like all cast iron, the pan is weighty, but it's still light enough to handle easily, even during washing.The size of the finished loaf is "medium." I wish a larger size was also available.This pan is a joy to use and looks so good it's a shame to hide in a closet. This is bakeware to use for years.

I have a Dutch oven — which this essentially is, just rectangular, not round — but sometimes don't need a pan that big. This is perfect for casseroles, shakshuka, or any number of recipes that call for baking in a heavy dish. This is high-quality cast iron, so is heat tolerant and retains heat well. Like Spanish egg casseroles? Perfect for it.The packing spared nothing: Very professional and virtually guaranteed that your pan will arrive in perfect condition. When I did unpack it and put the lid on, it didn't seem like a tight fit (which you need with a pan like this), but soon discovered that you have to put it on the pan precisely — and then it's a perfect, tight fit.This durable, versatile pan can be used for baking, roasting, and even frying. The finish is very good and doesn't seem prone to chipping, like some cookware I've had.This is excellent quality and a great value. I highly recommend it.

Made a nice pot of chicken soup in this and the capacity is just right for minimal leftovers. Finish is very good.

I wanted a smaller enameled cast iron pot that would fit on my small stove with other pots, but be tall enough to hold a decent amount food.Zero cosmetic issues on arrival (great packaging & QC), held heat and cooked perfectly. Moisture retention is excellent. Very happy with the purchase.

I have been looking for a cast iron pot like this for several years. It is a 2.8 qt pot, but it is deep which forces the dough up for height instead of spreading out for a low loaf of bread. It makes a small loaf of course and for those who bake bread, it comfortably holds a 3 cup batch of dough. My recipe for anyone interested is: 1 1/2 cups of warm water, 2 t sugar and 1 T quick yeast, let activate for 10 minutes, then add 3 cups flour and 1 t salt. Double in size, punch down and let it rise again for 15 to 30 minutes, dump into the cast iron pot and bake 30 minutes with lid on then remove lid and brown to for 5 minutes. Also a perfect size to give to anyone who likes homemade bread. Enjoy.

Bought for my daughter-in-law who has recently started making sour dough bread. She was using an awkward pan, that wasn’t getting the results she hoped for. She’s really happy with the results now!
